We're friends now, and that's all that matters. I may not have known you since birth, and maybe we'll lose touch before we pass away, but does it matter? No, it doesn't. We live in the moment. We don't live in the past, although we are nostalgic. We don't live in the future, although we are hopeful. None of that matters, except that I have you by my side now. I love you for who you are today, not for who you were yesterday, and not for who you will be tomorrow.
It's human for paths to separate.
